Purification essential oil

Apr

8

Vacationing in the Bahamas is heavenly except for the hellish bug bites. Mosquitos and the aptly named No-See-Ums can leave nasty welts. To easy the itchiness and help repel pests in the first place use Purification oil, a nice blend of Citronella, Lemongrass, Rosemary, Melaleuca (Tea Tree), Lavandin, and Myrtle. This oil is made by Young Living which I've heard is organic but there is no seal of certification on the bottle. It does say 100% grade A and they are known for top quality therapeutic essential oils. They also make many other great blends like Peace and Calming, Panaway, and Thieves. If you think mosquitos will be a problem wherever you're headed I recommend the Purification.

No young living is NOT Organic, and from what I've learned in the Massage Therapy Industry they are average oils. The town I live in there is a lady who is a specialist in the field of aromatherapy. I get all my oils from her (she blends, etc) I recomend Aurcacia. They have a CERTIFIED line of Organic oils.

I love Young Living products, but have always wondered about their organic status. Finally I wrote them and asked why they weren't certified. Their response, "Unfortunately as we are not able to grow all of our own oils we must gather these pure essential oils from other locations Gary has deemed most pure and meet the high standards Young LivingĀ® considers very important. As each country has different standards for being considered "Organic" we are unable to claim that all of the products or oils are organic based on United States Standards." They claim on their website that all the crops they grow on their own farms are free of chemical fertilizers and other baddies. I still think their products rock.

Companies can make claims all day long about Organic this and that...but unless they carry a certified seal, there's no proof. I've had the displeasure of meeting Gary. He lives in the town where I live. On several occassions he's been at the local health food store when I'm also there, it has not been a great experience. I guess my view of him personally clouds my view of his company. But back to my point: If I want pure organic, I look for the seal. If someone is charging organic prices and making claims, I need them to back it up w/ certification by a 3rd party. I'd go w/ Aurcacia. I've worked in the healing profession for many years, and it's a great clean, certified company. You can easily find them at health food stores.
