Have you gotten the scary email about children ending up in the hospital from eating Purell? Just a couple of licks and they get so drunk they go limp. I personally recoil when I see hand sanitizer gel, the smell alone gives me shivers. But now there are a couple of organic versions out there that I imagine smell quite nice. EO Organic Lavender hand sanitizer kills germs and also has organic jojoba oil to help moisturize. And Benedetta Clearing Spray is made from biodynamic grape alcohol as well as organic essential oils. Both of these could probably raise the blood alcohol level of a small child very easily but at least they would not be injesting toxic chemicals too. Of course, washing hands with soap and water is always a good way to combat microbes and it's much easier on the liver.
