Attack of the clones

Jan

The Food and Drug Administration has declared that it is safe to eat cloned animals and their offspring. A New York Times article quotes the agency as saying, "food from cattle, swine and goat clones is as safe to eat as that from their more conventionally bred counterparts".

Avoiding cloned food products is just one more reason to eat organically raised food. Another way to avoid eating cloned animals is to join the many that have made it a New Year's resolution to embrace vegetarianism (take a look at Florida's resolution to include vegetarian lunch options for kids) or to at least reduce their meat consumption in an attempt to help the environment.
